Battery life is between 2 and
5 years. It depends on the model and the way it is used. For example, a
chronograph will consume more energy than a watch indicating the hours
and the minutes only.
Authorized jeweler
According to the
manufacturer’s guidelines, service and repair for mechanical watches
should be done at an authorized jeweler.
Cleaning
Make sure it’s always clean.
Natural oil from your skin can build up on a watch. If it’s
water-resistant, you can rub it with warm water and mild soap. If the
strap isn’t metal, clean only the case.

Water resistant
Make sure that the degree of
water resistance of the watch is specified before it’s exposed to water.
You need at least 50 meters (165 feet).
Changing batteries
Change the battery of a quartz
watch at a jeweler before it dies. Dead batteries can leak or rust.
